Private Sector Senior Economist
Job Description
SAIC currently has an opening for a senior economist to conduct a one year study on the People’s Republic of China economic growth in support of a national-level intelligence customer in Washington, DC.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The successful candidate will use their knowledge of economics to study and provide a report on the scientific and technical drivers for macroeconomic growth in China. This will include identifying industries and research that will be key to continued economic growth as well as any ties these sectors may have to PRC government entities or financing. Candidate must have the experience, skill, and discipline to work with minimal supervision.
- Final written output will be a document with detailed appendices on key findings. Verbal progress reports will be delivered to the customer on a recurring periodic basis and will, on occasion, include interim written products.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
- PhD in Economics.
- Prior academic or intelligence community experience related to the PRC economy.
- Mandarin language capability is required.
