Job Description
CNA is a not-for-profit organization that specializes in providing analyses and evaluations of programs, policies, operations, and systems to government agencies and foundations. The Center for Naval Analyses, the portion of CNA that conducts analyses in support of national defense, is looking for a policy analyst for the Resource Analysis division. An economics background in labor, energy, environment, or industrial organization is preferred. Analysts work in areas such a workforce recruiting, retention, and management; compensation; cost modeling; energy and environment; education; and readiness. Communicating study results orally and in written work is a critical component of the job. Analysts usually work in teams.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. (or Master’s Degree with experience) in economics or a related social science; possess a strong quantitative background; have an interest or prior experience in applied, policy-oriented research; and possess the ability to write, speak, and present clearly. Published work is a plus. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
