Financial Accounting Manager

Position Description
• Plan, direct, and provide necessary management of the Company's financial accounting process to the preparation of financial reporting packages for internal and external users.
• Ensures the Company's financial reporting is consistent with both U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
• This position reports to the Director of Corporate Accounting, Taxation, and Risk Services.
• Provides research, judgment, and counsel on application of standards to existing and potential Company transactions.
• Liaison with Company's public accountants and parent company personnel on reporting issues as well as internal inquiries on contemplated transactions.
• Perform and maintain controls adequately to comply with Sarbanes Oxley Section 404 and other sections relating to financial reporting and disclosure controls.
• Responsible for compliance with control procedures and updates of control documentation.
• Provide as-needed support to Company teams involved in due diligence, contract development, and affiliate and joint venture management, with respect to financial reporting issues.
• Take lead role in key critical accounting applications, e.g., accounting for income taxes, hedge accounting, post-retirement benefit accounting, LIFO.
• Prepare data and projections for Company forecasts, operating budgets, and business plans.

Position Requirements
• Master Degree in Accounting, preferred. Bachelor Degree with experience in the field of accounting, required.
• Certified Public Accountant.
• Four to six years public accounting and/or industry experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in web-based accounting research and PC office tools (Excel, Word).
